How to get top rankings in Google, you can be on page one for the right targets, targets that are relevant to what you want to do with your web.

There are no SEO silver bullets. Stop looking for them and get to work. If you don't know what the work that you need to do is, go read my better search engine rankings primer written in plain language.

Google has become the most powerful search engine on the internet. My opinion why this is is that Google delivers the most relevant search results. By relevant, I mean that if you were searching for any of those phrases bulleted above and found this page, you found a web page very close to what you were looking for? Relevance creates conversions to inquiries and sales! Relevance is GOOD. It's conversions that matter, not hits!

Let me clarify that last statement a little: first you have to have rankings, then you have to have clicks, then you need conversions. So, hits do matter, but only if your content is creating inquiries and sales? That's the way I see it.

In January 2010, in the USA market Google received 66.3% of all searches, Yahoo 14.5%, Microsoft Bing 10.9%, AOL Search 2.5% and Ask.com 1.9%. The total number of searches in January 2010 was 10,272,099,000.

The process I use to get my clients top rankings on Google and the other major search engines is basically as follows, and I am going to link you off to pages in my web that provide more details about each of these subjects. You can also read this page about my SEO Project Management

Perform a Google (and other search engines) structural compliance analysis. This is something very few SEO folks do. Why? Perhaps they don't know? Google provides recommendations to webmasters in their Webmaster Guidelines, which is public information. Google also has new patents that indicate what is important to them in ranking web pages. I also use up to the minute search engine research and know what works with Google's algorithm and what doesn't. I am not talking about anything sneaky or unethical - black hat bad guy tactics will not work for long - I don't do them. I am talking about what Google says they like and want. You do want Google to be happy, don't you?

Understand your marketing plan. You need to understand your marketing plan and I need to understand what you want your web to do for you if you want me to help you. You do have a plan, right? Complete my SEO Questionnaire so that I can also understand your priorities and your market. This information gets me all set up to help you get top rankings on Google. It is a good marketing exercise for you.

Do search phrase research. We can determine through search phrase research exactly what people are searching for relative to what you are doing with your web. Read more about Keyword Services. I am in the top four out of about 285 million competitors last time I checked.

The complexity of the way people search is increasing. The long tail is getting longer; 1- and 2-word search queries are on the decline, while 4- and 5-word queries are rising, while 3-word queries are down slightly. Four-word queries are up 12% since 2007, and five-word queries are up 16%."

Write keyword rich page copy. A web page works best with Google when it has enough text properly written about ONE SUBJECT. What Google's algorithm is trying to determine when it analyzes your web pages is: what is this page about? If you have a mixed message, the algorithm can't tell what the page is about, and you get no rankings.

Read more about Web Copywriting Basics. Also read my home page copywriting tips. Creating pages that work with Google may require some rearrangement of your content by creating new pages. Many webs have good content but the way it is arranged in the web creates mixed messages. Sound familiar? Not uncommon.

Get some links in to your web from authoritative sources. Web pages with Google PageRank's of 4 and above will get you in Google's index with a positive start. For a few hundred dollars you can list your web in paid directories that Google respects and indexes every day. This is the fastest way to be found, much better than submitting directly to Google. The cost to do the best dozen is about $900.

Keep adding content. Google treats webs with more than 100 pages of good content differently from smaller webs. 100 pages sounds like a lot? Not really. Let's discuss all of the ways you can easily add content. Some are free. Read some great ideas for adding content to your website.

Start a Link Building Program When you have done everything you can do to create the best quality content, links in to your website from other websites will be the greatest determining factor for your Google rankings.

Is your web in Google trouble or the supplemental index? We make an appeal to the Google Team telling them that we have cleaned up your act, that you will be a good boy or girl from now on, and that you want to be reinstated in their index. If you made an honest mistake or if you tried to be tricky and got caught, and you will get caught, Google will give you a break one time. Don't do it again.

Write a search engine optimized press release. This will bring large volume traffic to you web in a matter of days instead of weeks or months. I work with a pro in California, a professional writer with a journalism background. Your release will be on the first page of Google, typically in 5-7 days. Cost is about $600. If you are not on Google page one you don't pay the whole fee until you are.

Use Google Sitemaps Using an XML sitemap in your web, in addition to a regular sitemap, is a great way to see what Google sees when indexing your web. The Sitemaps Beta has now been incorporated into your free Google account under Webmaster Tools.


There are a number of XML generators online. I have tested 20 of them, none of which worked correctly for websites with more than 30 pages.

An excellent tool you can download and run from your desktop is GSiteCrawler: Google Sitemap Generator for Windows Be sure to download the latest update.

GSiteCrawler is a better solution for webs with lots of content and for webs where your images are important for image search. GSiteCrawler will index everything including all pages in all directories and your images. It uses 6 simultaneous crawlers to capture your content. Making a sitemap for a web with 2600 pages took me about an hour and a half.

Open your free Google account, then request a verification code to show you have the right to monitor the web. The best bet is to add the verification file as a named html page in your website. Google will tell you what to name the file. Add the file to your website same directory as your home page. Do the same with Yahoo Site Explorer.

Then, use GSiteCrawler to crawl your website, put the sitemap in your website online, go back to Google, tell Google the name of the file and they will check it out and approve it.

Takes me about 10 minutes, but I have done a bunch of them. Google will tell you if they find any indexing errors, missing pages, broken links, etc. When you add new pages to your web, go make another sitemap and resubmit it. Other engines are using XML maps, too. This makes Google's job easier, and is a leg up for you on your competitors for get top rankings in Google.

DirectX 11 come as the next generation of Windows DirectX graphic technology will be implement on Windows 7 with support wide varieties of Windows games and graphic display devices. After making DirectX 10 available for windows Vista, Microsoft has released DirectX 11 with Direct3D 11 available for download as technical preview for public testing.

“This version of the Windows 7/Direct3D 11 Technical Preview ships as part of the DirectX SDK and contains the following new features, tools, and documentation: Technical Preview of Direct2D; Technical Preview of DirectWrite; Technical Preview of DXGI 1.1,” the Redmond company informed.

However, Direct3D 11 (DirectX 11) that supported on Windows 7 and Windows Vista only. Except Windows XP users cannot install DirectX 11.

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a connection standard that was first developed by Hitachi, Panasonic, RCA, Silicon Image, Sony, and Toshiba in 2002. HDMI is quickly emerging as the connection standard for HDTV in the consumer electronics market. HDMI is the first and only digital interface that is able to combine uncompressed audio and video over a single cable. Possessing a bandwidth of 5 Gbps, transmissions over HDMI are currently using less than half of that. This leaves plenty of room to expand the technology in the future.

HDMI is fully backwards compatible with DVI, and will supplant it as the interface of choice over the next few years.

HDMI also supports HDCP. HDCP stands for High Definition Content Protection. It is a specification that was developed by Intel Corporation (with input from Silicon Image) to protect digital entertainment content across both the DVI and HDMI interfaces.

One of your PCs has had a hard disk failure, or you are rebuilding the PC for some other reason – like an OS upgrade. Once done, you install the Windows Home Server Connector and even though you have given the PC exactly the same name (or maybe you didn’t) you see the computer listed as a new PC in the WHS Console. You would really like your newly rebuilt system to be associated with the backups of the same system you have from before, but you cannot see any way to achieve this. This becomes particularly relevant for those moving from XP to Windows 7 as you have no way to preserve the settings from your old PC. Suddenly, you end up with an extra PC in your WHS list and you are not sure why, or what to do with the old one. Today, we’ll help you reunite your rebuilt PC with its former backups on Windows Home Server.


But first, let us delve into why this looks like a new PC to Windows Home Server. When the Connector is first installed on a PC, it creates a number of keys in the registry. These cover your backup preferences, which server the is associated with, the PC’s name and most importantly a unique GUID (Globally Unique Identifier). This is one of those long strings of alphanumerics enclosed in curly brackets that you see so often in Windows. To WHS, the GUID is all important, more so than the PC’s name. Names may change, but if the GUID remains the same, it is the same entity. Here lies the problem. A new build with a fresh OS install has a registry void of WHS settings and the all important GUID. Install the Connector and a new, unique GUID is created and so you have a new system connected to Windows Home Server.

Those of you half a step ahead of me will have worked out that a bit of forward planning would help the user here. Export the GUID Registry key before rebuilding and then bring it into the new build and WHS will still see it as the original PC and keep it linked to the old backups. To do this, follow these steps CAREFULLY (Regedit Alert).

1. On the PC about to be rebuilt, run Regedit. On Windows 7 and Vista, just type in regedit into the Start Menu’s search bar, and it should pop up

2. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Home Server

3. Right-click on the words ‘Windows Home Server’ in the tree in the left-hand pane of Regedit and select Export

4. In the dialog box that pops up, navigate to somewhere where you will be able to find the file and save as WHS.reg

5. Exit Regedit. Save the WHS.reg file somewhere safe – USB key, external drive on on the server – so you can get at it after you have rebuilt the PC.

6. You can now rebuild your server with whichever version of Windows you like.

7. Once installed and set up, but before installing the WHS Connector, copy the WHS.reg file to somewhere where the PC can access it and double-click it. This will import the settings into the PC’s registry.

8. Now install the Windows Home Server Connector and your server will identify it as the original PC making a new appearance.

This is fine for those who have the benefit of acting in advance, but what do you do if your hard drive or your memory (the one in your head) failed and you haven’t got access to that original registry?

Try the following procedure as it may well help. I would add at this point is has not been exhaustively tested and so feedback would be welcome.

1. We need to run Regedit on the server itself. The warnings above now should be heeded with even more care. Mess this up and you won’t have a backup to help you. You can either run Regedit by creating a Remote Desktop Connection to the server (Start> All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection) and running from the Start menu (Select Start > Run and type in regedit to open).

Or you can use the more convenient method of using the Advanced Admin Console add-in (you are all using this excellent add-in, aren’t you), where you will find it in the drop-down menu on the far right of the window.

Nah lakukan hal yang sama dan tiru cara disain website tersebut.

Email khusus perusahaan.
Disini diperlukan sebuah alamat e-mail yang profesional dan lebih dipercayai konsumen dan pelanggan bisnis. Seperti contohnya alamat email dari nama domain perusahaan. misalnya (marketing@serbamurah.com) dan lain sebagainya. Alamat email dengan menggunakan nama domain sendiri dipercaya banyak kalangan lebih dipercayai konsumen dalam bisnis internet. Alasannya adalah sederhana, karena dianggap lebih serius. Lain halnya jika menggunakan email gratisan seperti @yahoo.co.id atau @gmail.com dan lain sebagainya. Banyak alasan memang mengapa konsumen lebih mempercayai alamat email dengan nama domain sendiri sama seperti konsumen yang mempercyai nama domain sendiri untuk website.

Program Bisnis yang Terpercaya
Sangat penting pula untuk tergabung dalam organisasi atau persatuan tertentu yang menampung sekumpulan pelaku bisnis dan juga daftar produk program bisnis yang dipertanggung jawabkan di bawah naungan organisasi tersebut. Seperti di US dan Canada kita kenal ada BBB (Better Bussines Bureau) yang menampung informasi bisnis, review dan lain sebagainya bahkan menampung keluhan pelanggan dan terdapat forum khusus untuk mencari solusi pada membernya.

Company Profile
Company profile akan memungkinkan pelanggan atau calon konsumen mengenal lebih jauh 'wajah' dan isi perusahaan secara keseluruhan. Bangun kepercayaan konsumen dengan memperkenalkan siapa saja orang orang pintar yang ada di balik perusahaan Anda. Tunjukkan kenapa mendirikan perusahaan, dan informasi lain tentang perusahaan yang akan membuat konsumen semakin yakin dan percaya dengan perusahaan Anda.

Kontak Pelanggan
Mempunyai kontak khusus pelanggan sangat penting baik dalam bisnis offiline maupun online. Pelanggan ingin tahu kemana mereka menelpon ketika mereka mengalami kebingungan dan masalah seputar produk atau program yang dijual perusahaan. Kontaka pelanggan ini meliputi nomor telepon, alamat perusahaan, alamat email dan mungkin berupa form khusus yang disediakan untuk pelanggan yang tidak memilih nomor telepon, alamat perusahaan dan mengirim email.

Testimoni
Mempunyai testimonial di website perusahaan Anda sangat bagus untuk kepercayaan calon pelanggan dan pelanggan Anda. Dari testimoni ini kepercayaan pelanggan Anda akan semakin kuat karena mereka semakin yakin dengan perusahaan Anda. Kita banyak melihat banyak testimoni yang dipamerkan dalam website. Tapi sayangnya kadang testimony testimoni itu adalah palsu alias tidak nyata. Mereka sengaja menggunakannya untuk mendapat kepercayaan pelanggan dan calon konsumen. Testimoni nyata biasanya berasal dari orang yang benar benar telah merasakan keberhasilan bisnis dari website tersebut dan orang nyata tersebut tentunya bisa dihubungi melalui telepon, alamat rumah, alamat website dan lain sebagainya.

Sekali lagi fokus kepada persoalan testimoni. Usahakan semaksimal mungkin kebenaran testimoni tersebut. Cantumkan hal hal yang dapat dipercayai konsumen dari orang orang yang memberikan testimoni di situs Bisnis Online anda.

Anti-Aliasing is a method of fooling the eye that a jagged edge is really smooth. Anti-Aliasing is often referred in games and on graphics cards. In games especially the chance to smooth edges of the images goes a long way to creating a realistic 3D image on the screen. Remember though that Anti-Aliasing does not actually smooth any edges of images it merely fools the eye. Like a lot of things they are only designed to be good enough. If you can't tell the difference then that's fine. Lets take a look at the example below to demonstrate the effects of Anti-Aliasing.

The letter on the left is a blown up letter a with no anti-aliasing. The letter on the right has had anti-aliasing applied to it. In this blown up form it looks like its simply blurred but if we reduce the size down to a more standard size you may see the difference.

Now look closely at the two letters. You can still tell that the letter of the left is jagged but the letter on the right looks a lot smoother and less blurry than the example above. Remember I have only shrunk the image down back to normal size and have not altered anything else to the image at all. So as you can see, Anti-Aliasing brings a much more pleasing image to the eye. Something like what comes out of a high class printer rather than what you can be used to seeing when on a computer screen.

Why do we get jagged edges on our graphics?

Jagged edges are cause by limitations in a computer screen, whether that be a CRT or TFT/LCD screen its all the same. Monitors are capable or producing nearly perfect straight lines either horizontally or vertically, but when it comes to diagonal lines of any angle your monitor is not capable of producing a line without some jagged edge. This is because your screen is made up of pixels in a grid formation. When you draw a diagonal line on a computer screen it has to cross several grid lines, because pixels create blocks of colour diagonal lines displace these blocks slightly causing jagged edges, Check out the following example to see what happens on your screen.

To the left is a graphic on a grid of how we would draw a diagonal line on a grid. As you can to get a straight line we have to cross over the grid lines. To the right is a graphic of how a computer would draw the same line. As you can see the line is jagged. This is because the grid squares are pixels and half a pixel cannot be one colour and half the other. The pixel is red or white in this case.

Newer monitors are combating the problem themselves by decreasing the dot pitch. Dot pitch is the space between pixels. The closer the pixels the less jagged to lines appear. However while this can decrease the effects it can't solve them. Move on to page 2 to see how Anti-Aliasing works to fool your eye into thinking you have straight smooth edges.
